BASMATI RICE

Grown only in Himalayan Region of India and nurtured by snow fed rivers, Basmati is without a shadow of doubt the King of all Rices in the world. Its long slender shape and an unmatched fragrance and aroma are reflective of the age old civilization that cultivates it. Basmati is non-glutinous and has a fine, smooth and silky texture. The rice has been favored by emperors and praised by poets for hundreds of years.

Usage:

Rice is the staple food of over half the world's population. It is the predominant dietary energy source for 17 countries in Asia and the Pacific, 9 countries in North and South America and 8 countries in Africa. Rice provides 20% of the world’s dietary energy supply, while wheat supplies 19% and maize (corn) 5%. Rice plays an important role in certain religions and popular beliefs.
